Homemade Guacamole

Hello, Hello, Hello Avocados!

The star ingredient in Guacamole is Avocado! Avocado most of the time mistaken for a vegetable is actually a fruit. This yummy fruit is very popular with the Hispanic community because of its perfect pair with rice, beans, Tortillas, and other dishes for South America.

However as of recent avocado has made its way into other cuisines becoming a topping for a burger.

Something you should know about Avocados is they go bad really really fast! As soon as you open the avocado it will begin ripening extremely fast! Muy Rapido! Use lemon or save the seed if you are only wanting to eat one side to help it keep for a little longer than the same day.

So you came to learn how I make my Guacamole? Shall we begin?
Let's get started:

You Will Need:

  • 2 Ripe Avocados
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • Half of Lemon
  • 1 Small Roma Tomato (Optional)
  • 1/4 of White Onion
  • 1-2 Pinched of Sea Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon of Cumin

First cut your avocado in half and spoon out the flesh of your Avocados into a medium size mixing bowl. Smash your avocado up with your fork like you would mash potatoes until it is smashed well.
Next Cut your Onion and Tomato finely. As well as your cilatro. and add to your your smashed avocado. Then add all your seasoning and squeeze your lemon for the juice!
And that it!
Serve with your favorite Tortillas, on a burger, in a wrap, or even as salad dressing!

This will keep in the fridge for 24-48 hours! I have never frozen before but the prep time is so short why not stick to fresh!

I hope you give this a try!!! If you found this to be valueable please share this blog!
