HIS TIP: You Can Add But Not Subtract
I know it sounds like it should be just something you should know but I have messed up to many dishes, knowing this information to assume you know and apply it. Salt is a spice I have come to appreciate but at the same time I have at one point depended on it too much.
Cooking and knowing how to flavor your food has nothing to really do with salt and it is not always a necessity.
Over the years of trail and error I have found to use as little as possible than guesstimating is a much better practice and can eliminate ruining an entire meal. If I am not alone and you have destroyed a few meals with making it too salty and you still can't not stop adding it let's take a different direction on this matter.
According to Centers of Disease Control and Prevention here is what our sodium intake should be and is.
The 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend that Americansconsume less than 2,300 Milagros (mg) of sodium each day as part of a healthy eating pattern. The average daily sodium intake for Americans aged 2 years and older is more than 3,400 mg
Yes it brings out the flavors in our meals but a pinch of salt can go a LONG WAY.
Now pay attention to this picture on the left and think about how much we use on a daily bases.
Understand using a pinch here or there is not going to effect your body negatively but the average Americans' intake is life threatening.

Using different salts and there are many many different type to choose from. Of course regular table salt is not all natural and doesn't provide the additional minerals natural salts provide.
Salt is a Preservative and can be found in canned foods, frozen foods, processed foods, and soups.
You can always add salt to your meals but taking out to much salt is almost impossible. Use just a pinch and add after you taste. Remember the detrimental side effects of eating too much and change accordingly. Life is too precious to die from salt!
The sexy part about being healthy is not how you look but the discipline it takes to feel that way!
