Garlic Mash Potatoes

How to make Homemade Garlic Mash Potatoes

You will need:

  • 2 cans of Canned Milk (use 1 1/2)
  • 1 bag of Idaho Potatoes (the biggest
  • bag of potatoes)
  • Half of a large onion. (chopped in
  • big circles)
  • 2 Tablespoons Minced garlic
  • Oil Spread
  • Half a cup of Chives cream cheese
  • A Large Pot

First, with your large Pot fill the pot
with water. Turn the stove on high and
season the water with salt, pepper, and
adobo.
When the water begins to boil, carefully place your potatoes into the pot. Use
half the bag of potatoes. (Double the recipe for a full bag. ) After the water begins to
boil turn your stove down to medium and let them boil uncovered for about 20-25
minutes or until the top potato is tender. Check your potatoes by sticking your knife
inside of the potato. You will know they are done when the knife slides into the
potato with ease.
Drain your potatoes and in the same pot begin to mash your potatoes. Add your
can milk slowly to make mashing easier. You can use a masher, whisk or even a
spatula to chop up the potatoes. Turn your stove on VERY low heat.
Continue to add a little bit of canned milk as you continue to mash. Add 3 teaspoons
of oil spread.
In a separate fry pan add oil spread and allow for it to melt on medium heat. Then
add your minced garlic. Next, add your onions. Add 1/4 of a cup of water to avoid
the garlic from burning. Allow this mixture to cook until the onions are transparent.
Add another teaspoon of oil spread. The onions and garlic should smell extremely
good.
Take
that pan and pour all the contents right into your pot of potatoes. And
mix really well. Continue to mix to get the consistency you desire.
Then add your half a cup of chive cream cheese.
NOTE: At this point, you can add really anything you like to your potatoes. For
example to make Cheesy Mash Potatoes all you need to do is add cheddar cheese at
the very end and you will have cheesy fun.
