Vegan Sandwich #1 "Sir Paul"

If you have ever thought of going Vegan you may have dreaded the fact that you may be missing out on a Yummy Deli sandwich if you are not eating meat! But I am hear to eliminate your fears and enlighten you if you already do not know about Vegan Deli Meat. This is a great alternative to use as you transition to being a Vegan or maybe you just want to try something different instead of the same ole same ole!
Here are a couple companies that I enjoy using for my longing moments for a Bologna or Turkey Sandwich.

I love Light Life because they have NO GMO's and oh my are they tasty!

I also enjoy the brand Tofurky! They have the best texture in my opinion but I am unsure if they use GMOs because they do not specify as Light Life does.

However always remember that process food no matter if it is Vegan or not, is still processed foods. These options are a great start if you are looking forward to tapping into your next level.

So how about we save more details for our next sandwich blog, so lets get started:

One more thing before I show you how to make this sandwich! I have to give a shout out to Hero's Pub and Bar in Raleigh NC on 6 Forks Rd for introducing me to this amazing dish!

The Sir Paul concept is what I want to highlight. In this Video I show you exactly how I made mine!

You will Need:
  • Whole Wheat Bread
  • Lettuce
  • Hummus
  • Green Pepper
  • Olives
  • Red Onion
  • Tomato
  1. The first thing you want to do is cut up all your vegetables in a Julienne Cut so they can easily be placed on the sandwich.
  2. Now you can toast your bread or not toast your bread. I like them both ways.
  3. Then you Spread on your Hummus. You want to put an nice portion of hummus.
  4. Then layer your veggies.
Service with fruit, a pickle, and some plain chips or which ever you like and I promise you will be in heaven.

Please note this is not the official recipe for the Sir Paul in Raleigh but they definitely are the first to expose me to the concept of Hummus as a spread.

I mean who needs Mayo when you have Mayo...
