How to make "Collard Greens" The Healthy Way!!!

How to make Healthy Collard
Greens

We all love some good old collard greens from grandma. But to be honest with you Grandma, Mom, and Auntie and everyone else that knows how to make those good old college greens cook them way too long.

College greens are one of the most leading nutritional plants that you could ever eat, but when we cook them too long we lose all of the important nutrients that collard greens contain.

So in this Healthy Is Sexy recipe I'm going to show you how you can make collard greens, not only taste good but maintain the nutrients that they give your temple.
Let's get started:

You will need:

Batch of Collard Greens
4 Cups of Water
1 Cup of Vinegar
3 TB of Olive Oil
1 Med Onion
1/2 Med Red Onion
3 Whole Garlic Cloves
Seasoning:
Salt, Pepper, Red Pepper Flakes, Garlic Powder

Before you do anything you want to prepare your Collard Greens.
First, clean your Collard Greens thoroughly by washing them in cold water. Make sure you do not see any sand or particles and cut off any part of the greens that look like anything else but dark green.
If you see any yellow spots or any light green spots you want to cut those off. Also, cut off the ends of the stems of the Collard Greens and rip them apart into speak pieces so I can fit into the pan.
Because we are not using a traditional pot that is normally use for Collard Greens which is usually very big you may need to do these in several batches.
Cut your collard greens into pieces.
First, you want to use a frypan that is deep.
Place your onions inside of the fry with one of the tablespoons of olive oil.
Next you want to let the onions sautĂ© until their translucent and add your 4 cups of water.
Bring your water to a boil and then add all of your seasonings, garlic cloves, the other 2 tablespoons of olive oil, red onion and all other ingredients.
Let this get to a rapid boil for at least five minutes. Turn the heat down in place a top on the pan and allow this to simmer for another 20 minutes.

After about 20 minutes your Collard Greens will have this right the beautiful green color, do not let your Collard Greens get to the point where they look like they are brown.

Now serve them like you normally would, but just keep in mind that this method your collar greens will not just melt into your mouth like you may remember. They will be a little more rough than what you are used to.
However, think about all the nutrients that you are king that you are adding to your body and you'll enjoy this new method. You will not lose any taste and  you'll just have a lot more fiber.
